I am a mom, and outdoor enthusiast, a businesswoman, and a Veteran. I like challenges, which is why I have taken on tough jobs in my career, walked a 500 mile pilgrimage across Spain, and led climbs to the highest peaks of our Cascade Mountains. Most of all I like to know that what I do makes a difference for others.

For the best part of my career I was a financial controller and manager for one of the largest manufacturing companies in the world. Solving difficult problems, especially money problems, was my best skill. I budgeted hundreds of millions of dollars, negotiated annual purchasing contracts worth half billion dollars, and created a pricing strategy that added millions of dollars to my employer’s bottom line. My job meant that every day, I needed to sit across the table from people who disagreed with me, and keep working with them until we found an answer.

I want to bring my skills and experience to work for the people of Central Oregon. For too long, our representatives have stood to one side, more interested in party loyalty than solving the difficult problems our county and our state face. I want to get to the table, and make sure our issues, and the best solutions are heard. I can and will speak for people who are unable to speak for themselves.
I am asking for your support in my campaign, because Central Oregon deserves a strong voice in Salem.

Jason is a 4th generation Oregonian who grew up in a rural timber town and has called Bend home for over 17 years. As a Deschutes County Deputy District Attorney and former public defender, Jason knows what it takes to provide safety and justice for our community with equity. A father, advocate for kids in foster care, and elected board member of the Bend Park and Recreation District, he rolls up his sleeves to care for our neighbors. Jason will be a voice for our priorities:

  • Jason supports the Student Success Act. In Salem, he’ll fight for greater investments in early, higher, and career and technical education.
  • Bend is facing an affordable housing crisis. Jason will work to find solutions that will protect renters and increase housing supply and choices.
  • Climate change is impacting Oregon’s communities with wildfire and Instead of blocking solutions, Jason will work to protect our community, our state, and our planet.
  • Finally, it’s become clear that nothing else matters if we’re not healthy and our neighbors aren’t healthy, which is why we must continue to expand access to medical and mental health care.
