BOOTH SEASON 2017 IS OVER AND SUMMER IS WRAPPING UP. WE NOW TURN OUR ATTENTION TOWARDS PARTY BUILDING AND THE HOTLY CONTESTED RACES IN 2018.
Hope you are enjoying your summer and ready to get back into action as 2018 is right around the corner. We will be meeting this Thursday, August 10 at 6:30pm (social) and 7pm (business) at the Environmental Center (16 Nw Kansas) in downtown Bend.
We are excited to have special guest Jamie McLeod-Skinner. Jamie is running for CD2 and is the third candidate to come talk with our group about why they are running and to answer your questions. If you would like to learn more abou this race, then you will not want to miss this meeting.
We also have lots of updates to share about what we have done over the summer and what we have in store this fall and beyond.
I also want to thank all of the volunteers that worked our booth this year starting with Earth Day and ending with the County Fair. It is a heavy lift as an organization and with so much support it was a great success.
Finally, it has come to our attention that after huge losses in May, the other side has gone on a fundraising spree in order to change their fortunes in 2018. I know many of you donate to many different causes but I can assure you that your donation here in your community will have a huge impact on our ability to recruit, train, and support amazing candidates that will represent you here at the local level. We run a very tight fiscal ship and know that your support can make a difference. Please consider making your donation this year ($100 joint filer, $50 individual tax credit). It is an amazing investment towards the Deschutes County you would like to see in the future.

FIND US ONLINE
If you have not connected with us online, then you don’t know what you are missing. If you need help learning how to work these websites or how to effectively use online resources, then reply to this email as we will be hosting classes this fall.
Our Facebook and Twitter pages are a great resource for local, state, and national news. Just this week there was a discussion on the delayed showing of An Inconvenient Sequel here in Bend and a great article about Buehler’s run for Governor and what it means for HD54. Here is the link to that article and below are the links to these pages which are a great way to stay informed. Did I mention the need for raising money?
