Hi Fellow Dems,

I know that the news out of Washington, DC is almsot impossible to keep up with as Republicans continue to shock us with their latest bad idea.  At times we can feel helpless at what is transpiring at the national level.  This is when it is most important to take control of those things we can control. In this case, it is our local May elections on Tuesday, May 16.

We have seen 15% of the ballots returned which means many of you reading this have not turned in your ballot and your friends on Facebook, at work, and your family members are in the same boat.  We need  to turn the tide and help our amazing slate of candidates cross the finish line.

We have school board members being attacked by Mini Betsy Devos’ wannabes for gaining the support of teachers.  We have a Trumpian candidate running for Park Board that doesn’t seem to understand what the psoition is and isn’t.  We cannot allow these people to make bad decisions in Deschutes County like they are making in DC.  If you have not already voted, follow the link on the right sidebar to see our great endorsed candidates and share this information with your friends and families.  If you don’t like links, all of the endorsed candidates are also listed to the right of this paragraph.  With such a low turnout, every vote will count.

On Thursday, May 11 at 6:30pm (social) and 7pm (business) the Deschutes County Democrats will be meeting at the Environmental Center (16 NW Kansas).  This will be a great opportunity to meet candidates and hear what we have been up to during the May elections.  This is our final meeting before the election and a great time to get involved.
