The energy and passion in Deschutes County has only grown since I last wrote to you. Not only have we continued to build our party, but we have seen the growth of an energized, talented, and powerful progressive movement in Deschutes County. For this, I am extremely happy and grateful.
The Deschutes County Democrats will hold their next monthly meeting on Thursday, March 9 at 6:30pm (social) 7:00pm (business) at the Environmental Center (16 NW Kansas) in downtown Bend. Our special guest speaker will be CD2 Candidate Jim Crary who ran against Congressman Walden in 2016. He will speak and take your questions. We will also stream this event live on Facebook for those that are not able to join us in person. Simply go to our Facebook page that night and you can view the meeting online. It will also remain on our page to view at a later time.
We will also be sharing some of the great work that we have done since our last meeting as we put those working group ideas into motion. In order to keep up with the numerous activities in the community be sure to head over to our Facebook page for the latest information.
We have seen tons of media coverage for our demands for a public town hall here in Bend with Congressman Walden. 50-100 protesters have descended on Walden’s office every Tuesday since our last meeting. We hear that a town hall in Bend is on the table but without a date, we must persist.
Finally, we have some amazing events coming up in March, including our Progressive Speed Dating event. Hope to see you all the next two Thursdays!

We are looking for canvassers, phone bankers, meet and greet hosts, data people, letter writers, and money donations for our slate cards. These races are sprints and our candidates will need as much help as we can give them!
