The Deschutes Democrats and Indivisible Bend join for a night of networking and planning for electoral success!
Are you interested in running for office or managing a campaign? Did you want to go to the Emerge Oregon training but weren’t able to make it? Do you have experience in electoral politics and want to mentor an aspiring community servant?
Join us this Wednesday at 5:30pm in Bend – space is limited so please RSVP below!
We need you to share your talents, your beliefs, and your experiences to help shape our future.
- Do you believe in public education? Run for school board!
- Do you enjoy our shared open spaces and parks? Run for the Parks & Rec Board!
- Do you appreciate free educational resources for all? Run for library board!
- Do you live in Redmond, Sisters, or La Pine? Help us represent the whole county!
This informational meeting will include:
- Details about each position on the upcoming May 16 ballot
- Important deadlines for the election – such as the March 16 filing deadline!
- Speakers from various committees to explain what is expected in each elected role
- Additional opportunities to get involved locally to build your resume in preparation for a future run
- How your local Democratic Party can support your candidacy
